Greetings! I’m Alfanette, though you may call me Alfie. I AM the Founder/CEO/Master-Builder. Since 2007, I have dedicated myself to creating a vibrant community where women and young girls can feel safe, appreciated, and truly at home. As you explore my story, I hope you resonate with the spirit of our mission and feel inspired to join our community. I am a Christian, and the majority of our blog focuses on Christ. However, my true passion is not to convert or persuade you in any way. Instead, I aim to encourage you, listen to you, and meet you exactly where you are. We are not a church; we are a community of women supporting one another. What does that mean? There are women in our cities, neighborhoods, and communities. How will you connect with them?

My Ephesians 2:10 Story

How many years have you spent shaking your fist at the heavens, asking, “What’s my grand purpose, God?” How many times have you begged, “Lord, just drop me a hint, and I’ll follow it like a puppy!”? Ever heard the tale of the guy marooned on a deserted island who prayed for a rescue? A boat shows up, and he’s like, “Nah, I’m waiting on God!” A plane swoops in, and he goes, “Still waiting on God!” Despite all the help knocking at his door, he held out for a miracle in his own way. Sound familiar? That was me! I’d ask for a sign, but when answers came, I’d shrug them off, thinking, “Nope, can’t be God!” After a marathon of struggles and head-scratching moments, He finally broke through my stubbornness. I wish it hadn’t taken forever, but then He said, “Hey, it’s time to level up!” Now, I can finally see the amazing plans He laid out for me; I've caught a glimpse of my life's blueprint and I'm all in, ready to dance to the tune of Ephesians 2:10!

In May of 2017, I attended a retreat and spent meaningful time with the founder of Christian Women Speakers, Marnie Swedberg, we had a long conversation. I signed up for her mailing list, but one particular day, I was feeling quite down when I received an email inviting me to tune into her broadcast. Not in the best mood, I thought I don’t want to hear anything encouraging.

But something tugged at my ears, and I couldn't help but listen. Suddenly, it was like God was having a one-on-one with me! They were chatting about how God calls us, and if you're tuned in, it's like receiving a personal text from Him. At that very moment, a name popped into my mind: 4 Women In Pursuit, complete with all the juicy details! So, what did I do? I jumped into action, and it’s been a roaring success all these years, right? Wrong! I hit the snooze button on that divine message and whipped up an Olympic-level excuse list. Still, I kept asking God, "What’s the game plan for me? Why am I still here?" I didn’t want to drag my feet forever, so guess what? After all this time, I’ve finally decided to kick procrastination to the curb and embrace obedience! If you head over to the 4WIP Blog, where you will read the whole story. I've been lucky enough to snag some incredible mentors who’ve guided me on my quest to become the fabulous me I was destined to be! I even spent a few days basking in wisdom at an event with the legendary Les Brown. Talk about a masterclass in being unapologetically YOU—because let’s face it, nobody can rock your vibe quite like you can!

On the professional front, I have been a life coach for many years, guiding numerous women in launching businesses, addressing homelessness, and overcoming the mindset of poverty. I hold a BA in Business and Marketing and am currently pursuing another degree in Organizational Leadership and Community Revitalization. I have two adult children: my daughter resides in Las Vegas, while my son is a supervisor at UPS. We have all been blessed with an entrepreneurial spirit. Are you prepared to embrace your gift?
